Braided Infinity Scarf {or one for me, one for you}

Pintrest is going to be the death of me. I've never really understood the draw of wasting hour after hour watching videos on Youtube {although I have watched this video about 100 times}. I do read a lot of blogs, but I feel like I'm taking things away from it most of the time. I check up on Facebook so I know what's going on in the world of my "friends," but I don't see how you can spend more than five minutes on there at a time.

But Pintrest....oh Pintrest. I can spend HOURS on that wonderful site. Thankfully my little one is cuter than the pictures on there or I would never get off.

One of the first things I found on Pintrest that I knew I had to make was this wonderful Braided Infinity Scarf over at Put Up Your Dukes. I liked it so much, I decided to jump right in and make one for myself and one for my best friend for Christmas {I don't think she reads this....I really hope she doesn't!}.

The tutorial over at Put Up Your Dukes is wonderful. I highly recommend watching the video of how to braid. It made the process super easy. Also, I did not for the life of me understand how her method of joining the ends of the scarf was going to work out. So, I made myself two little tubes out of scraps and and tried it out on them. Let me just say....her method is genius!

Overall, I'm pretty excited about how my first stab at it turned out. Making my friend's, I accidentally only did two braids instead of three. I actually like it better. Here's to hoping I end up being a good person and give the two braid one to my friend rather than keeping it for myself! :)

Here's the close up on the two braid!

I'm sharing this project over at a Pintrest inspired link-up over at Lemon Tree Creations.
