Etched Pyrex {or wedding present: part 2}

Yesterday, I showed you the fun carrier I made as apart of a wedding present. The carrier was inspired by Jill over at Homemade by Jill. I copied Jill's wonderful idea and etched the Pyrex to include in the carrier. The happy couple won't have a problem leaving their Pyrex somewhere and having them wonder who it belongs to!

I used my fun new Cameo to make the stencil. I cut the stencil out of the black vinyl that was included with the machine.

I used Armour Etch. I luckily snatched up the last bottle at Hobby Lobby the day before we left for the wedding. I need to stop leaving things till the last minute!

I left the Armour Etch on for like 30 minutes. The bottle says to leave it on for 5, but the little miss woke up from her nap.

I think it looks great. I'll be etching my Pyrex soon.

The J smudged a bit. I must have not got the vinyl down all the way. Also, there was a little piece of the top of the J that didn't etch. I just added a little more etch cream to the dot that didn't etch. The five minutes worked well.

I decided to add a sweet little birdie. I'd like to say I knew this at the time, but birds were on all the wedding stationary. Lucky me!

You can check out my casserole carrier in this post.
